The business is owned and managed by Barbara Crompton, a quilter of more than 25 years standing with professional experience in various aspects of training. I have now combined these skills to create Material Pleasures where I can bring my expertise to selecting exciting fabrics from well-known brands, useful accessories and a range of original, personally-designed quilt kits and patterns all at affordable prices.

Material Pleasures trades globally online 24/7, at Quilters’ Guild events and craft and stitching events. We are available to be booked for your group meetings, exhibitions or other stitching-related events in the Manchester/Merseyside/Cheshire areas and beyond. Please use the contact form to enquire.

There will be hundreds of fabrics on the bolt, including some of the latest collections. There will also be quilting notions and sundries.
Local North Wales exhibitors will be showing a varied and interesting selection of quilting and sewing related products.
The sale is from 10.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and admission is free.
Light refreshments will be available.

Beginners Workshops

Material Pleasures currently offers Beginners Workshops at a variety of venues. Please register your interest and your location and we will let you know as soon as we have something in your area. All the workshops are aimed at complete beginners and can be booked as a whole course or you can pick and choose individual sessions.

Murdishaw Community Centre, Barnfield Ave. Murdishaw, Runcorn, WA7 6EP – Monday evenings 6.45pm – 9.15pm from April 27th 2009 (currently fully booked but we have a waiting list for another session in this location which can start as soon as there are enough participants).

Rainhill – Dates and location to be confirmed

Frodsham Community Centre – Starting early September; 1 daytime session and 1 evening session. Days to be arranged.
